Pinnacle Award — Terms & Conditions
The African American Business Achievement Pinnacle Awards, presented by the Greater Houston Black Chamber of Commerce (GHBC), honors established Black-owned businesses that exemplify excellence, innovation, and community impact. To be eligible, the business must be at least 51% Black-owned, for-profit, and headquartered within the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area. The business must have been in continuous operation for more than two (2) years. While GHBC membership is not required to apply, it is strongly encouraged. However, if selected as a finalist, the business is required to become a member in order to remain eligible for the award.
Applicants must complete the official application form in full and submit all requested background materials, including but not limited to a company profile, business achievements, and details of community involvement. All materials should be emailed to pinnacle@ghbcc.com by the stated deadline. The Pinnacle Awards Selection Committee, composed of independent reviewers, will evaluate all submissions based on business success and growth, leadership, innovation, community engagement, and overall economic impact on the Black business community. GHBC reserves the right to withdraw any application found to contain incomplete or inaccurate information at any point during the selection process.
Finalists must be available to attend the Pinnacle Awards Gala. Selected awardees agree to allow GHBC to feature their business in press releases, marketing, and other promotional content. All submitted materials become the property of GHBC and will not be returned. GHBC reserves the right to modify awards categories and criteria at its discretion.
