What's the real difference between the membership levels?
Each level builds on the one before it. Student and Individual are single-seat memberships focused on networking and discounted event access. Non-Profit and Small Business add multiple portal seats, more complimentary event access, and — at the Small Business level — the ability to post jobs, list RFP opportunities, and add your events to the GHBC calendar.
Can I upgrade my membership mid-year?
Yes. Contact our Administrative Assistant at adminasst@ghbcc.com and we’ll prorate the difference and move you up a tier immediately — no need to wait for renewal.
How fast can I get access after I join?
Your Members Only Portal login is issued as soon as payment is processed, typically within one business day. From there you can update your directory listing, register for events, and browse the RFP portal right away.
What is Corporate Partnership, and how do I get pricing?
Corporate Partnership is a custom, year-round sponsorship package built around your goals — spanning procurement programs, financial readiness initiatives, youth programs, and signature events like the Pinnacle Awards. Email info@ghbcc.com or call 713-660-8299 and our team will build a package with you.
How do the advertising add-ons work?
Add-ons like Eblast Marketing and Membership Spotlight are available to members at any level, on a first-come, first-served basis with limited monthly slots. Submit your creative ahead of the stated deadline (72 hours for eblasts, 14 days for exhibitor booths) to secure your spot.
Are the discounted advertising rates available to non members?
No. The advertising rates displayed are exclusive discounted rates for GHBC members. If you are interested in advertising with the Greater Houston Black Chamber but are not a member, please contact us for our current advertising rate sheet and available opportunities.
