Houston, TX – After a few years’ hiatus, GHBC’s Network & Nourish: 2nd Tuesday Luncheon made a powerful return, bringing together Houston’s Black business community for an inspiring and engaging event. Held at the historic ElDorado Ballroom, this luncheon is set to be a reoccurring monthly event, taking place every second Tuesday of the month.
The ElDorado Ballroom, a cornerstone of Houston’s cultural history, provided the perfect backdrop for this sold-out event. Known for its rich history in serving as a gathering place for the Black community, the ballroom has long been a hub for music, culture, and connection. It was only fitting that we celebrated the return of this event in such an iconic venue.
Attendees, ranging from entrepreneurs to professionals, came from various industries to network, learn, and connect. The luncheon featured a lineup of exceptional speakers, including Former Congresswoman Erica Lee-Carter, Policy Director for Commissioner Rodney Ellis’ office; Judge Lillian Alexander, Presiding Judge of Harris County’s 507th District Court; and Mark Winchester, District Director of the U.S. Small Business Administration. Each speaker brought valuable insights to the table, covering topics on business advocacy, legal perspectives, and small business resources.
The event marked a significant moment for GHBC, as it set the tone for future monthly luncheons that will continue to provide our members with valuable networking opportunities and educational content. As we move forward, we’re excited to build on the success of this first event and continue fostering growth, empowerment, and connection within the Houston Black business community.
Be sure to join us for next month’s Network & Nourish: 2nd Tuesday Luncheon and stay tuned for more exciting speakers and opportunities!
