Our efforts are designed to educate, enrich, and empower small business owners. GHBC is the “go-to” organization for business development and community outreach partnership opportunities in the Houston African-American community. Your involvement as a partner and member with GHBC opens the door to new customer segments and small business resources, while at the same time signifies your desire to do business within the African-American community.

RISE & SHINE BREAKFAST SERIES

This is a women’s networking event held quarterly throughout the year. Every event will feature an influential woman in leadership in Houston. At this event you have an opportunity to meet well-known women that will lead to eminent and powerful connections to excel other women.

This event is perfect for women business owners and professional from all industries.

NETWORK AND NOURISH ENTREPRENEUR LUNCH SERIES

The Network & Nourish: 2nd Tuesday Luncheon is a monthly in-person luncheon where you can meet corporate leaders, elected officials, like-minded business owners and professionals. Every event will feature a guest speaker to discuss various topics that will help any business owner continue to excel.

This event is perfect for businesses and professionals from all industries.

 

MASTER CLASS SERIES

The Master Class Series is held once per month and will feature an expert discussing important topics for business owners. Topics include branding, accessing capital, tax planning, AI, marketing and other important topics for continued success for any business owner. The goal of this series is to help business owners gain deeper knowledge about specific topics important to the success and growth of today’s companies.

This event is perfect for businesses in their start up stage (0–5 years) or sustainability stage (5–15 years).

DOING BUSINESS WITH SERIES

Join us for our monthly “Doing Business With” series, where GHBC members gain valuable insights into subcontracting opportunities with our esteemed corporate partners, including Port Houston and METRO. This series is designed to equip small and minority-owned businesses with the knowledge and tools necessary to succeed in securing these lucrative partnerships.

This event is perfect for businesses at the sustainability level (5-15 years) or growth & succession stage (15+ years).
