Pinnacle Awards Scheduled For October 22

GHBC To Honor Successful African-American Businesses

Houston, TX–On Saturday, October 22, 2016, the Greater Houston Black Chamber of Commerce (GHBC) will hold its 22nd annual Pinnacle Awards.  The event will be held at The Power Center, located at 12401 South Post Oak Road, Houston, Texas.

The GHBC Pinnacle Award is the most prestigious award that the GHBC bestows in honor of black-owned businesses.  The awards go to African-American entrepreneurs who not only have succeeded in business, but have positively impacted the communities and industries they serve.

The finalist for the 2016 Pinnacle Awards are: (1) Fort Bend Academy of Arts and Dance; (2) Hiram Style, LLC; (3) Kelly Kaluza and Associates; (4) L’Renee & Associaties; (5) Owens Management Systems, LLC; (6) Soul Grooves Fitness; (7) Sterling Staffing Solutions; (8) The Education Valet, Inc.; (9) The Sutton Insurance Agency, Inc.; and (10) Twice Media Productions.

Along with the coveted Pinnacle Awards, the GHBC will bestow the 2016 Upstart Award to one of three finalists, name an Advocate of the Year, and honor three members of the clergy.

In addition, the GHBC is proud to announce that Mayor Sylvester Turner will be presented the Lifetime Achievement Award and Senator-Elect Borris L. Miles will receive the Mickey Leland Pinnacle Award.
