NETWORK & NOURISH: 2ND TUESDAY LUNCHEON

Network & Nourish is GHBC’s signature luncheon designed to convene entrepreneurs, corporate partners, elected officials, and community leaders for high-impact conversations on the priorities shaping Houston’s business ecosystem. The series is the Chamber’s highest-attended recurring event, consistently drawing members and stakeholders for timely, relevant discussions.

Luncheon topics reflected the evolving needs of business owners and the broader community, including advocacy, procurement access, funding opportunities, mental health, and the importance of Juneteenth and the preservation of Black history throughout Houston. By combining substantive dialogue with intentional networking, the series reinforced GHBC’s role as a trusted convening space for education, connection, and community engagement.

 

ANNUAL MEETING: THE STATE OF BLACK HOUSTON

The Annual Meeting: State of Houston Black Business is GHBC’s premier business convening, held every January and rooted in a legacy spanning 89 years. This cornerstone event brings together chamber leadership, local officials, corporate partners, and business owners to reflect on the Chamber’s impact, share key insights on the state of Black business in Houston, and outline strategic priorities for the year ahead. It also serves as the formal installation of the incoming Board of Directors, marking a continued commitment to advancing economic opportunity and business growth across the region.

With an audience of 150–200 professionals, including small business owners, government leaders, and corporate executives, the Annual Meeting is a powerful platform for visibility, connection, and influence. It reinforces GHBC’s role as a trusted convener and advocate within Houston’s Black business ecosystem, creating space for meaningful dialogue, partnership, and collective progress.

 

CHAMBERLINK: ENTREPRENUERSHIP PROGRAM

ChamberLink is a transformative workforce and entrepreneurship development program operated by the GHBC Foundation Designed for young adults ages 17 to 24, the program engages current college students, formerly incarcerated individuals, and young adults in the workforce who are seeking pathways to professional success and economic empowerment. By combining education, mentorship, and practical experience, ChamberLink provides a well-rounded, entrepreneurial-centered curriculum that prepares participants to thrive in today’s evolving economy.

The goals of the ChamberLink program are:

BUSINESS EXCHANGE: NETWORKING SERIES

The Business Exchange is GHBC’s dynamic monthly networking series designed to bring entrepreneurs, professionals, and partners together in a relaxed, community-centered environment. Held at rotating local culinary small businesses across Houston, this experience spotlights the creativity and excellence of Houston’s food and beverage entrepreneurs while fostering collaboration across industries.
